How does sublimation printing work?

What is DTF Printing?

The caliber of the ink. The quality of ink varies widely. The image will survive longer if higher-quality ink is used in either printing technique. A sublimation-printed image might persist longer than a DTF image printed with inferior ink if the correct ink is used.
Print quality of the device. The durability of the printed image will depend on the printer's quality. Some printers are made to print quickly in order to produce huge numbers of garments, however, the faster they print, the more likely the quality will deteriorate. Before selecting a printer, think about your printing objectives.
The fabric's kind. Polyester or polyester blends that contain at least 2/3 of polyester perform best for sublimation printing. Almost every type of fabric may be printed on with DTF. A DTF image on cotton may fade more quickly than a sublimation picture on polyester since polyester and other synthetic materials have a tendency to resist fading for longer than cotton does.
Washing techniques. Regardless of how it is produced, washing has an impact on how long a picture lasts. A garment will grow more faded the more times you wash it. Your image might remain longer if you use mild detergents, particularly ones formulated to reduce fading. Even so, hand washing might be the best method for preventing fading.
